The Forge is a full-lifecycle Inference IDE: a place to build reusable instructions, compare model results, and follow agent work with Arcanum.

Organize projects in the Atelier. Save reusable prompts in the Scriptorium and edit Spells, named AI workflows, in source, split, or preview views. Use the Codex editor for standing project instructions.
Version
Review a Spell before you activate a new version.
See how a Spell changed before you activate a saved version. The Mirror shows named revisions and their differences. The Ledger lets you review local Git changes and commit your work.
Prove
Test the result before you reuse the workflow.
Run test cases, called Trials, in the Proving Grounds. Checks called Inquisitors evaluate results with regular expressions, JSON schemas, or model-based judgments. Compare outputs and inspect inference traces to understand what happened during a run.

See what is running and what it costs.

- See tool calls as they run. Arcanum records informational Ward events and enforces enabled Campaign access policies through Sanctum.

Continue conversations in the Tome and organize related work as Campaigns. Arcanum runs the models and tools, keeps the server-side record, and resumes durable Apprentices from checkpoints. The Forge gives you a desktop view of that work.
One engine behind the workbench
Work locally or connect to your Arcanum host.
The Forge connects to Arcanum through an authenticated HTTP API. Arcanum performs inference and stores its durable records. Compendium is the separate desktop editor for configuration. The Forge also keeps local editor state, test histories, and workspace utilities.
Know what you can change
Inspect the run. Open configuration when you need it.
Review providers, models, budgets, and spending in The Forge; open Compendium to edit configuration. Use the Hearth for a local shell and the Ledger for local Git status, diffs, and commits. Git push, pull, reset, and rebase remain outside the Ledger.
